Why aren't your rates posted on your website?
Every price is based on the day of the week, time of the day, month of the year, number of performance hours, travel requirements, number of sound systems needed, and other specific needs. To get your quote, please email info@atxdj.com with your event date, location, and number of hours requested.
What is your payment policy?
Credit cards, checks and cash are accepted for deposits. Balance must be paid by check no later than one week prior to your event or in cash by the start time of your event. If you can only pay the final balance with a credit card, please contact owner, DJ Sean, for exceptions.
What kind of equipment do you use?
ATX DJ uses the best mobile DJ equipment money can buy, which is excellent for large indoor or outdoor events, but no event is too small. Some companies charge more to bring their premier sound system. However, we bring ours to every event if needed, included in every price.
If you need additional equipment such as a separate PA system for a ceremony or projector/screen for a slide show or DVD movie, please let us know in advance. Small fee for extra PA system but it's much less than if you rented it yourself.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes. ATXDJ always brings backup speakers, amps, microphones, cables, DMX Lights, and more for possible incidents of unexpected equipment failure.
What style of music do you play at events?
Music choices are personalized and based on our discussions and other communication. You will get online access to our entire 70,000-song music library. It will guide you in creating your must play and must NOT play lists. We bring our entire music library to every event so your guests can make requests. Some clients pick all the music, while others leave it all up to us, which is fine. We are familiar with the best dance songs from all genres, decades, and cultures.
Do you need a skirted table?
Although the mobile DJ has a standing set up system, it is always more elegant to use a matching 6’ skirted table; simply request your venue to set up a 6’ skirted table for your mobile DJ. Commonly, they are provided by the venue, by request.
Will you play music that I bring to the event?
ATX DJ will be happy to play any personal CDs that you provide. If you have music you want played on an iPod, please let us know so he can patch in your MP3 player.
Do we tip our DJ?
If you would like to reward your mobile DJ for the service you receive by offering a gratuity, we are than appreciative but it is not required or expected. A follow-up written testimonial and your referrals to others let us know that we've done our job.
Can you stay longer than the contracted hours?
ATX DJ will be happy to continue by the hour for an additional fee of $75 per hour; however you should check first with your venue and their policy for staying after the contracted hour.
Do we provide a meal for you at the event?
You are not required to provide a meal, however a meal is often greatly appreciated. Your DJ will be discreet and wait until your guests have gone through the buffet first. But don't pay extra for your DJ to eat!
Do you have a microphone that we can use?
You are welcome to use the wireless microphone provided by us for any prayers, toasts,or special announcements. A lapel microphone for your minister is available by request only.
